Simplify I.T. creates a building inspection system

This project, on which Simplify I.T. was a sub-contractor, is a complicated control panel built to very precise requirements. It allows the business owner to record damage to buildings and attach 4k-quality videos and images to an inspection line. It also allows their clients to log in and view all their buildings on a Google Map and view their inspections with pixel-level zoom functionality. Finally, it features a custom-written file manager, similar to DropBox.

Another Canadian project, Pickers Trading Place was one of the more challenging websites that Simplify I.T. has worked on. Fully responsive and phone-friendly, it allows antique dealers and pickers to create an account and list their products for sale. It also allows for PayPal payments and the creation of auctions as well as trade-to-trade offers.

This project involved working around a DOS accounting program called Take5. While this simple package does the day-to-day tasks extremely well, it’s very rigid when it comes to reporting. Simplify I.T. learned how the DBF tables interacted and set them up to automatically extract to a server overnight, automatically convert and import themselves into a Microsoft Access database. Combined with pre-written forms and reports, this allowed for a whole new level of sales reporting that could be developed and changed rapidly. The couple of days previously spent typing VAT data (every 2 months) has now been replaced by a one-click report.

A leading Irish civil engineering firm needed to extract data out of Sage Coretime in a pre-defined format, which had been approved by senior management. The brief we were given was that the query needed to be repeatable and the data capable of being exported to Microsoft Excel with one click. Simplify I.T. achieved exactly that.

Simplify I.T. has just completed an internal SQL Server and PHP driven workflow system for a multinational company. This is to replace Lotus Notes. This complex new system, which runs on an internal server, is an authorisation system that sends emails to the relevant worldwide users asking them to review a request and accept or reject it. It contains a suite of reports and has different security levels.

Simplify I.T. creates an internal new product system

Simplify I.T. has just completed an internal SQL Server and PHP driven product development system for a multinational company, to replace a Microsoft Access database which was a decade old. This complex new system, which runs on an internal server, facilitates the structured collection of product data from 30 users worldwide and combines it into one fixed format. This data is then entered onto the company’s ERP system. It contains a suite of reports, is multi-lingual, multi-timezone and has different security levels.

Bespoke system for Kavanagh Electrical

This project involved building a bespoke PHP system that could be accessed in the back office or by iPhone on the road. Its implementation resulted in huge time savings. The system itself allows new job sheets to be created by the electrician as soon as he finishes a callout. This appears in real-time in the back office allowing the owner to convert it to a PDF invoice and email it. It also provides job and invoice tracking and integrates into the existing and longstanding accounting software package (Big Red Book).

This project involved building Simplify I.T.’s first customer relationship management system (CRM) that allowed the Orafol staff, based throughout Europe, to input, manage and report on all their leads and customers (in real time) via a user-friendly CRM that we custom-designed. It also contains Microsoft Outlook calendar integration, allows newsletters to be built and analysed with open/click-through statistics and can be accessed on-the-road using a Smartphone.
